Refund, Delivery & Personalization Policy
Tales of the Tods sells personalized, made-to-order digital comics (e-books). Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.
1. Nature of the product
Our products are digital, personalized, made-to-order comics. Your child's name and a chosen character face are added to the story. Nothing physical is shipped. Because each comic is personalized and delivered digitally, it is by nature non-returnable.
2. Delivery format
Your comic is delivered as digital access - for example an online reader link, a PDF, or another digital format at our discretion. Access details are sent to the WhatsApp number and/or email address you provide at checkout.
3. Delivery time
Some character faces are available immediately. Others are illustrated to order and can take up to six (6) months from the date of payment. We will keep you updated on progress. If we are unable to deliver your comic within six (6) months of payment, you may request a full refund.
4. Personalization accuracy
Your comic is a stylized illustration, not a photograph. Character faces are artistic representations chosen from our available set; they will not be an exact likeness of your child, and minor variations in appearance, colour, and name placement are a normal part of an illustrated product and are not defects. We reproduce the child's name and the face selection exactly as entered at checkout, so please check your spelling and selection carefully - errors in the details you provide are the customer's responsibility. If the name or face is genuinely missing, incorrectly swapped, or misspelled due to our error, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and we will re-issue a corrected copy free of charge.
5. Educational content
Our comics are works of children's edutainment. Any scientific, factual, or educational content is simplified for a young audience and is provided to the best of the creator's knowledge and belief. It is intended for general learning and enjoyment only, is not a substitute for a formal school curriculum or professional or expert advice, and we do not warrant that it is complete or free from error. We accept no liability for any reliance placed on the educational content of the comics.
6. Refunds and cancellations
All sales are generally final once work on your personalized comic has begun or access has been delivered or accessed, and orders cannot be cancelled after payment. In particular, no refund is available for change of mind, accidental purchase, or incompatibility with your device or software. Refunds will, however, be issued where: (a) you were charged more than once for the same order (a duplicate transaction); (b) we are unable to deliver a working corrected copy of a genuine personalization error (see Section 4); or (c) we miss the six-month delivery limit (see Section 3). Our first remedy is always a corrected re-issue. Where a refund is due under this policy, we will process it to your original payment method within 14 working days. Please allow this 14-working-day period for us to resolve the matter before taking any further step.
7. How to request a refund or correction
Contact us at talesofthetods@gmail.com with your Order ID and, for a duplicate-charge claim, your payment reference ID and proof of the duplicate payment. Where a refund is due, we will process it within 14 working days.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example, disappointment, or a comic not being ready for a specific occasion) where no delivery date was promised by us in writing. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
9. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India and is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India. Please contact us at talesofthetods@gmail.com first - we resolve almost everything directly.
